Hybrid Racing Shifter Cable Bushings - 2001-2006 Honda Integra Type R (DC5R)

Got sloppy shifts on your DC5 Type R? The factory shifter cable bushings are rubber, and rubber flexes. That flex makes your shifts feel vague and imprecise. We designed our shifter cable bushings to replace the factory rubber bushings with chrome-plated spherical bearings. The spherical bearings eliminate flex while still letting the cables articulate in all directions. You get crisp, notchy shifts with no slop. If you want your shifter to feel tight and direct, you need our cable bushings.

Why the Factory Rubber Bushings Suck

The factory shifter cable bushings are rubber with a metal insert. Rubber's soft, so it flexes when you move the shifter. That flex makes shifts feel mushy and imprecise. You move the shifter and there's a delay before the cable actually engages the gear. The rubber also wears out over time, which makes the slop even worse. Our cable bushings use chrome-plated spherical bearings instead of rubber. The spherical bearing eliminates flex, so when you move the shifter, the cable moves immediately. You get instant feedback and your shifts feel way more mechanical.

Spherical Bearings, Not Solid Delrin

Some companies sell solid Delrin or metal cable bushings, but those don't articulate. Your shifter cables need to move in two axes (up/down and left/right). Solid bushings bind the cables and cause premature wear because the cables can't move freely. Our spherical bearings articulate in all directions, so the cables move smoothly without binding. You get the crisp shift feel of a solid bushing without destroying your cables.

CNC-Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum

We machine the bushing housings from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodize them for corrosion resistance. The housings are laser-etched with our logo. The kit includes spiral retaining rings and stainless-steel cotter pins for installation. Everything you need's in the box.

DC5 Type R Only - Not for USDM RSX

These cable bushings only fit 2001-2006 JDM DC5 Integra Type R. They don't fit USDM Acura RSX even though the RSX is also a DC5 chassis. The Type R uses smaller shifter cable end links than the RSX. If you try to install these bushings on an RSX, they won't fit. These are Type R specific. If you've got an RSX, you need the HYB-SCB-01-03 bushings.

Note: These cable bushings only fit JDM DC5 Integra Type R. They don't fit USDM Acura RSX. The Type R uses smaller cable end links than the RSX. If you've got an RSX, these won't fit. Don't order these for an RSX. Installation takes about 30 minutes. You're replacing the rubber bushings at the transmission end of the shifter cables. You don't need to remove the transmission. Pop off the old rubber bushings, install our spherical bearing bushings, and you're done.
