PRL K24Z RBC Intake Manifold Adapter - 2008-2015 Honda/Acura K24Z Engines
Want to swap an RBC intake manifold onto your K24Z engine? The PRL K24Z RBC adapter kit lets you bolt a K20Z3 RBC or K20A2 RRC intake manifold onto your K24Z Civic Si, TSX, Accord, or ILX. The factory K24Z intake manifold's got long runners that make good low-end torque, but the RBC manifold's got shorter runners that make better top-end power. If you're building your K24Z for high-RPM power or you're going turbo, the RBC manifold flows better up top. PRL's adapter kit includes everything you need to mount the RBC manifold and adapt your throttle body, and it properly routes your coolant and vacuum lines so you're not fabricating anything.
Why Swap to an RBC Manifold
The factory K24Z intake manifold's designed for low-end and mid-range torque, which is what Honda wanted for street cars. The runners are long and tuned for power below 6,000 RPM. If you're building your K24Z to rev to 8,000+ RPM or you're going turbo, the long runners restrict airflow at high RPM. The K20Z3 RBC manifold's got shorter runners that flow better at high RPM. You lose some low-end torque, but you gain power up top. If you're all-motor and revving past 7,500 RPM, or you're boosted and making power at high RPM, the RBC manifold makes more power than the factory K24Z manifold.
Available with Two Throttle Body Adapter Options
PRL makes this kit with two throttle body adapter options. You can get the kit with an adapter for your factory K24Z throttle body, or you can get it with an adapter for the 70mm ZDX throttle body. The factory K24Z throttle body is 60mm. If you're making big power, the 60mm throttle body becomes a restriction. The ZDX throttle body is 70mm and flows way more air. If you're naturally aspirated and making under 300 whp, the factory throttle body's fine. If you're turbocharged or making over 300 whp, get the ZDX throttle body adapter.
Proper Coolant and Vacuum Routing
PRL's adapter kit properly routes your coolant and vacuum lines. The K24Z and K20Z3 have different coolant port locations on the intake manifold, so you need an adapter that relocates the coolant ports. PRL's kit includes all the fittings and adapters you need to route coolant and vacuum properly. You're not drilling and tapping your manifold or fabricating coolant lines.
RBC Manifold Injector Boring Required
The RBC intake manifold uses smaller injector bores than the K24Z manifold. If you're running factory 9th gen Civic Si injectors or other large injectors, you'll need to have the RBC manifold bored out to fit them. If you don't want to bore the manifold, you can run 8th gen Civic Si injectors or Acura RDX injectors, which fit the factory RBC bore size. Most people have the manifold bored to match their injectors. Take the manifold to a machine shop and have them bore the injector holes to match your injectors.

Note: RBC or RRC intake manifold not included. You'll need to source a K20Z3 RBC or K20A2 RRC intake manifold separately. The RBC manifold requires injector boring to fit 9th gen Civic Si injectors or other large-bore injectors. Have a machine shop bore the injector holes to match your injectors. If you're running the ZDX 70mm throttle body, PRL recommends port-matching the intake manifold plenum to the 70mm bore for best performance. Get your car retuned after installing the RBC manifold. The airflow characteristics are completely different from the factory K24Z manifold.
