Innovative Mounts F/H Series Engine Mount Kit - 1992-1996 Honda Prelude
Got a 4th gen Prelude with soft factory engine mounts that let your motor move around too much? Innovative Mounts makes replacement engine mount kits for your 1992-1996 Prelude with F series or H series engines. These mounts replace your factory engine mounts and they're way stiffer than stock. Innovative makes them in three durometers: 75A for street driving, 85A for street/track cars, and 95A for full race cars. Pick the durometer based on how you're using your car. If you're daily driving, get 75A. If you're tracking your car regularly, get 85A. If you're building a race car that never sees the street, get 95A.
Here's Why Your Factory Mounts Are Garbage
Your factory engine mounts are made from thin stamped metal with rubber bushings. The rubber's got multiple sections that meet in the center to hold the center pin. Under hard driving or when you're making more power than stock, the rubber sections tear apart and your engine moves around way too much. When your engine's moving around, you're losing power to wheel hop and your shifter feels sloppy because the whole drivetrain's moving. Innovative Mounts are made from billet aluminum with solid polyurethane bushings. The bushings don't have multiple sections that can tear apart. They're solid and they're not going to break.
Polyurethane Bushings with Lifetime Warranty
Innovative uses solid polyurethane bushings instead of rubber. The bushings are tapered so they don't interfere with your chassis and they minimize vibration transfer. The taper's what keeps vibration down compared to other aftermarket mounts that just use straight cylindrical bushings. Polyurethane doesn't wear out or tear like rubber does. Innovative backs these bushings with a lifetime warranty. If a bushing fails, they'll replace it.
Here's How to Pick Your Durometer
Innovative makes these mounts in three durometers. 75A (black) is for street cars. It's the softest option and it's what most people should get. It's stiff enough to control engine movement but it's not going to vibrate your whole car at idle. 85A (grey) is for street/track cars or cars making big power. It's stiffer than 75A so it controls engine movement better, but you'll feel more vibration in your car. 95A (dark red) is for race cars only. It's almost solid. Your whole car's going to vibrate at idle. Don't get 95A for a street car.
