Hybrid Racing Detent Springs – K, B, D, F, H Series Transmissions (Black Zinc)
If you want your Honda manual transmission to feel crisp, tight, and predictable, Hybrid Racing detent springs are one of the easiest upgrades you can bolt on. These heavy-duty detent springs increase preload and spring rate on the gear selector mechanism, giving your B Series, D Series, H Series, F Series, or K Series transmission a sharper, more positive shift. If your shifter feels loose or vague, these black zinc detent springs put the feedback back in your hand instead of leaving it buried in the case.
Hybrid Racing transmission springs are up to 80% stiffer than the factory Honda pieces, so the selector locks into each gear with more authority instead of “falling” into place. These manual transmission detent springs affect the forward and backward motion of the shifter, while our heavy-duty gear selector springs handle the left and right gate movement. Together, they clean up slop in worn gearboxes and tighten up engagement on fresh builds. Compatibility
These Hybrid Racing detent springs fit most Honda manual transmissions. How many springs you’ll use depends on the gearbox:
- Uses all 3 springs: Honda B Series AWD, Honda K Series FWD and AWD, Honda D Series 1996–2000, Honda GK5 Fit
- Uses 2 of the 3 springs: Honda B Series FWD, Honda F Series F20 and F22A, Honda H Series
Some units, like many B Series boxes, also use an internal detent spring for the 5th/reverse gate. Swapping that one means opening the case, so plan on doing it during a rebuild or synchro refresh.
