Hybrid Racing 75mm PRB Throttle Body – Direct-Fit K-Series Upgrade
Bringing back the Hybrid Racing K Series throttle body has been on our minds for a long time. But we weren’t going to rush it just to have another shiny part on the shelf. We wanted proper Hybrid Racing PRB fitment to match our RBC application and keep both as true bolt-on options. The Hybrid Racing 75mm throttle body for PRB manifolds is built for your K20A2/Z1 K swap and any PRB/PRC-style setup that needs more airflow without a bunch of custom fab.
This PRB throttle body bolts to RSX Type-S and EP3 Civic Si intake manifolds and works great as a performance throttle body for Honda K swaps, but there’s one thing to note: the OEM-style throttle cable bracket location doesn’t always line up with some short ram intakes. If you’re mixing and matching intakes, be ready to tweak things. Once it’s on, you’ll get sharper, more precise throttle response and the airflow headroom you need for real power gains.

The Hybrid Racing 75mm throttle body uses a full 75mm bore through precision-machined 6061-T6 aluminum, so you’re not just getting a “big number” at the inlet and a choke point behind the blade. Compared to a stock RSX Type-S or EP3 throttle body, you’ll remove a major restriction and let your K-Series breathe. On a healthy K20A2/K20Z1 with a header, exhaust, and tune, this K Series bolt on throttle body lets you take full advantage of your PRB manifold or Skunk2 Ultra Street Intake Manifold setup, whether you’re staying NA or planning boost.

This Hybrid Racing direct fit throttle body bolts straight to PRB/PRC-style manifolds, including the Skunk2 Ultra Street and other PRB throttle body replacement options, without adapters or porting. It keeps the OEM-style layout but with a revised throttle rotor that gives you smoother, more predictable pedal feel. That means better control at low speed and a more linear hit when you go wide open – exactly what you want for precise throttle response K swap street cars and track builds.
Built To Handle Abuse
We spec staked butterfly plate screws so they don’t back out at high RPM, and we use double-sealed roller ball bearings for the shaft to keep the action smooth even after a few seasons of heat cycles. An integrated thermal insulation gasket sits between the Hybrid Racing 75mm throttle body and the manifold to help cut down on heat soak, so your throttle body isn’t acting like a hot plate after a long session or highway pull.
Throttle Cable Bracket & Install Details
The throttle cable bracket geometry is updated to work cleanly in most K swap engine bays, giving better routing and clearance for common K20A2/K20Z1 and K-Swapped CR-V cable setups. Dual stainless throttle return springs snap the blade shut consistently and add a safety margin if one spring ever fails. You get a firm, positive pedal feel instead of a vague, lazy return.
