HKS Silent Hi-Power Axle-Back Exhaust - 2015-2020 Honda Fit
The GK5 Fit is a fun little car Honda deliberately kept quiet. This HKS axle-back changes that. It's a JASMA-certified system built in Japan specifically for the Fit, running a Type-H round silencer in SUS304 stainless with a 65mm tip. Bolt-on install, and it gives the car a voice it never had.
Not For The Fit Sport
The fitment gate on this page, so confirm before ordering.
This does not fit vehicles with a rear valence or lip, which means the Fit Sport is out. The exhaust exits where that bodywork sits, so there's no way around it. The same applies to the rarer Mugen rear under spoiler if your car happens to have one.
EX, EX-L, and LX models without a rear valence are what this fits.
2017 And Later? You Need A Specific Rubber Mount
Easy to miss and it'll stop your install.
Cars built after June 2017 require either the stock rubber mount 18215-S84-A30 or the HKS equivalent 17459-002100. Neither is included with the exhaust.
Check your build date and sort the mount in the same order if you need it. Finding out with the old exhaust already off is a frustrating way to spend an afternoon.
"Silent" Is Relative
Being straight about this, because the name sets an expectation the numbers don't quite match.
HKS measures the stock Fit at 80dB closed and this system at 92dB. That's a substantial increase, and decibels are logarithmic so the difference is bigger than the numbers suggest.
Silent Hi-Power means quieter than the standard Hi-Power, not quiet in absolute terms. If you were expecting a subtle change, this isn't it. If you've been frustrated by how muted the Fit sounds and want it to actually announce itself, this delivers exactly that.
Worth knowing before you order rather than after your first early morning departure.
Type-H Round Silencer
HKS offers two silencer shapes across the Silent Hi-Power range and this application uses the Type-H.
The Type-H is round and built for performance, prioritizing flow over maximum noise suppression. The Type-S is oval and leans further toward quiet.
That's part of why this reads louder than the name implies. You're getting the performance-oriented silencer rather than the noise-focused one.
50mm Center Pipe, Sized For A 1.5
The center pipe runs 50mm, which is deliberate rather than conservative.
Oversize the piping on a small naturally aspirated engine and you lose exhaust gas velocity, which costs you the scavenging that helps pull spent gases out of the cylinder. On a 1.5 liter Fit, velocity through the midrange is what you actually use.
50mm flows better than the restrictive factory section while keeping the car responsive where it lives.
SUS304 Stainless
Built from SUS304 high quality stainless steel, which is what separates this from the SUH409 most factory exhausts use.
SUS304 resists corrosion considerably better, so this isn't a system that rots out after a few winters of salt. On a car you're keeping, it'll outlast the exhaust it replaced by a wide margin.
Ground Clearance
HKS lists minimum road clearance at 180mm with stock suspension. Worth knowing if your Fit is lowered, since that figure comes down with your ride height.

Check your rear bumper, check your build date, sort your mount if you need one, and give the Fit something to say.
