Hasport Performance Skid Plate with D-Series Alternator Relocation Bracket for J-Series Engines
Dropping a J-Series into a 1992–2000 Civic or 1990–2001 Integra makes power easy. It also hangs a big aluminum oil pan low in the bay and puts the alternator right where your radiator and headlights want to live. The Hasport Performance Skid Plate with integrated D-Series alternator relocation bracket for J-Series engines handles both: real J-Series engine protection and a clean alternator move using a D-Series alternator mount. This Hasport J-Series engine bracket bolts under the motor and works as a J-Series oil pan protector, shielding the pan and drain plug from curbs, speed bumps, steep driveways, and track curbing. At the same time, the built-in D-Series alternator relocation setup moves the alternator to a smarter spot in the bay, which really matters on tight EG/EK/DC chassis. If you’ve ever dragged your J-Series oil pan on a “normal” road or fought alternator clearance with radiators and headlights, this Hasport alternator relocation bracket and skid combo is the clean fix. No universal plate. No cut-and-weld brackets. Just a purpose-built Hasport J-Series alternator bracket and Hasport engine protection plate we’re still comfortable running on our own swaps.
What This Skid Plate Solves
- Protects low-mounted J-Series oil pans from cracks, punctures, and mangled drain plugs
- Relocates the alternator using a D-Series alternator mount for better fit in tight bays
- Eliminates the factory alternator tensioner so you get a simpler, cleaner belt path
- Cuts risk on lowered street and track cars where J-Series engine protection actually matters
- Built for J swap applications in Civics and Integras, not a one-size-fits-none universal plate
Vehicle Compatibility
Built for J-Series engine swaps in these chassis:- 1990–2001 Acura Integra
- 1992–2000 Honda Civic
This Hasport skid plate J-Series setup is for swapped cars running a D-Series alternator relocation. It won’t fit or function correctly on stock engines or non-J swaps.
Installation Notes
If you’ve done a J swap before, this will feel familiar. The J-Series engine mount skid plate follows typical Hasport mounting style and bolts up as a single assembly with the alternator relocation bracket. Because every swap recipe is a little different, mounts, headers, exhaust routing, ride height, you should always test fit the Hasport J-Series engine bracket and plate before final torque. You might need small tweaks depending on how low you run the car and your suspension travel. If this is your first J-Series swap, paying a competent shop to handle the install is money well spent.
Why Oil Pan Protection Matters on J Swaps
Swapped motors usually sit lower than stock to get hood clearance and sane axle angles. On J swaps, that means your J-Series oil pan becomes the lowest, most expensive thing under the car. One solid hit from concrete chunks, a deep pothole, or a tall curb can crack the pan, dump the oil, and wipe out the engine in seconds. A Hasport J-Series engine protection skid turns that “game over” hit into a loud scrape and some scars on your J-Series oil pan protector you can live with. For daily J swaps, weekend track cars, and slammed street builds, a J-Series oil pan protector isn’t a luxury. It’s the difference between driving home and calling a tow truck with a windowed block.
Designed by Hasport, Trusted by Builders
Hasport has been in the Honda swap world for decades, and most builders know their name from engine mounts long before they look at a Hasport J-Series protection plate. This DJ-SKID setup comes from that same real-world abuse and feedback, not guessing in a vacuum. If you’re serious about a J swap in an EG, EK, or DC, this Hasport J-Series alternator bracket and J-Series engine skid plate combo gives you a clean D-Series alternator relocation, real J-Series protection, and one less thing to worry about every time you hear the skid plate hit instead of the oil pan.
