Hondata Heatshield Intake Manifold Gasket for D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16Z5
The Hondata Heatshield is a thermal-insulating intake manifold gasket for the early D-series and ZC engines, the D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, and D16Z5 found in the 86-89 Acura Integra and a range of international Honda models. It sits between the cylinder head and the intake manifold and acts as a heat barrier, slowing the transfer of engine heat into the manifold and the incoming air charge. On a hot engine bay, less heat soaking into the intake means a denser charge, which is why people building or refreshing these motors reach for the Heatshield over a plain composite or metal gasket.
It installs in place of the factory intake manifold gasket, so it's a straightforward swap during any intake job, a manifold reseal, a throttle body service, or a full D-series build. You get the heat-barrier benefit and a clean seal in one part, without adding a separate spacer.
Fitment
| Engines | D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16Z5 (ZC) |
| 86-89 | Acura Integra |
| 88-95 | Honda Civic, CRX, Concerto (UK / Europe / Australia) |
| 89-92 | Honda CRX (European market) |
| Does not fit | D16Z6 or D16Y8 engines |
Confirm your engine code before ordering. This gasket is built for the early DOHC ZC and D16A1/A3/A8/Z5 family. It will not fit the later D16Z6 or D16Y8 motors, which use a different intake manifold setup.
