This is the genuine Honda replacement, part 74827-SH2-003, the rubber cushion that sits on each side of your trunk opening and stops the lid from closing too deep into the body. They cushion your trunk lid so it doesn't slam down into the body, sure, but they also set the height the lid rests at, which is what dials in your panel gaps between the trunk and the quarter panels. So when the old rubber hardens up, crumbles, or falls off after a couple decades, your trunk drops too far or sits uneven, your gaps go wonky, and you get that annoying rattle back there.
