Hasport Replacement Engine Mounts - 2002-2006 Honda CR-V / 2003-2006 Honda Element
Factory engine mounts torn on your CR-V or early Element? You'll feel it, the engine clunks and shifts around when you get on the throttle or row through the gears. This Hasport mount set replaces your left, right, and rear mounts with steel mounts running urethane bushings instead of the soft factory rubber. Honda's rubber mounts go soft and tear over time, and once they do, your engine starts moving around way more than it should. Urethane is a lot stiffer and it doesn't tear like rubber, so your engine stays planted and your shifts feel tighter and more direct. You can grab these for an automatic or manual car in four different stiffness levels, so you dial in exactly how much you want.
Why Urethane Beats The Factory Rubber
Here's the deal with the stock mounts. Honda builds them soft on purpose to keep the cabin quiet, which is fine when they're new, but that soft rubber sags and tears with age and heat, and then your engine's flopping around under load. That movement is what you feel as clunks, wheel hop, and sloppy, vague shifts. These Hasport mounts fix that. The urethane bushings are stiffer, so they hold the engine still, and they don't tear or sag the way rubber does, so they last. Urethane also shrugs off oil and heat, so even if you've got a little oil weeping nearby or you run the engine hard, the mounts aren't going to break down on you. Tighter engine, sharper shifts, and they outlast the rubber by a mile.
Pick Your Stiffness Level
Hasport offers these in four urethane hardness options, and the right one comes down to how you actually drive. Go softer for comfort, stiffer for control, and know that the stiffer you go, the more engine vibration and noise comes through into the cabin.
- 62A (Street): the softest, closest to stock feel. Cuts down engine movement without turning your car into a buzzing mess. This is the daily-driver pick.
- 70A (Track): stiffer, great if you drive hard or hit the track now and then while still living with it on the street.
- 88A (Race): stiff, you'll feel it in the cabin, but your engine's locked down solid for serious use.
- 94A (Extreme Race): the stiffest of the bunch, lots of vibration and noise, really only for dedicated track or race builds where comfort isn't on the list.
If you're daily driving, start with the 62A. Honestly, 88A and 94A are too stiff for a street car unless you're fine with it feeling like a gutted race car.
Steel Mounts, Built To Last
These are steel where the factory mounts use cast aluminum brackets, and steel's just plain stronger, so it stands up to the load a stiffer mount puts on it. Pair that with urethane bushings that don't tear, sag, or care about oil and heat, and you've got mounts that handle hard use and keep doing their job for the long haul instead of wearing out like the originals did.
Automatic Or Manual? Order The Right Set
This matters, so don't skip it: the mounts are different for automatic and manual cars, and they're not interchangeable. The manual set is the RD4STM and the automatic set is the RD4STA, so check your transmission and order the one that matches. Grab the wrong one and it won't fit, so take the extra second to confirm before you buy.
Element Fitment: Read This
Good news for Element owners, Hasport recently confirmed this RD4STM/RD4STA set fits the 2003-2006 Honda Element, which shares its platform and K24A1 with the CR-V. So if you've got an early Element, this is your mount set. One important catch though: the 2007-2011 Element is different, and it does not use this set. Those later Elements take the Element-specific YH1STM mount set instead, so if yours is an 07-11, go grab that one, not this.
