Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs - 2006-2011 Honda Civic (DX, EX, EX-L, GX, LX, LX-S, Mugen Si, Si)
Want your 8th gen Civic to sit right and handle sharper without beating you up on the daily drive? That's exactly what the Eibach Pro-Kit is built for. It's the go-to mild drop for the 06-11 Civic, lowering your stance 1.2" up front and 1.0" in the rear to close up those big factory fender gaps and tuck the car down where it looks like it should. But this isn't just about looks, dropping your center of gravity tightens up how the car corners, and Eibach's progressive spring design keeps the ride livable instead of turning your Civic into a buckboard. You get the lower, planted look and a real handling bump, and you can still drive it every day.
The Drop, And Why It Handles Better
Here's what the lower ride height actually does for you. Pulling the car down 1.2" front and 1.0" rear (on the factory dampers) drops your center of gravity, and that's what cuts the body roll you feel leaning into a corner, the squat when you get on the gas, and the nose-dive when you stand on the brakes. The car stays flatter and more composed, so you've got more grip and more confidence when you're pushing it. Eibach measures the drop with stock dampers, so if you're running aftermarket shocks, know that your actual drop and ride can come out a little different.
Why Eibach's Spring Design Is Worth It
This is where Eibach's reputation earns the price. The Pro-Kit uses a progressive spring rate, which means it's softer in the initial part of its travel for a compliant ride around town, then firms up as it compresses under load so the car stays controlled when you lean on it. That's the whole trick to a good lowering spring, getting the stance and the handling without wrecking your daily comfort. The springs are cold-formed from Eibach's high-tensile (Hi-Ten) steel and shot-peened, so they hold their ride height and don't sag out on you over time. And Eibach backs them with their million-mile warranty against manufacturing defects, which tells you how confident they are in them. Eibach's been doing OEM and motorsport springs forever, and the Pro-Kit is their bread and butter for exactly this kind of street drop.
The Honest Word On Ride
Let's be real with you so there's no surprise in the driveway. This is still a lowering spring, so it'll ride firmer than stock, that progressive design keeps it tolerable on the street, but you'll feel more of the rough stuff than you did on the soft factory springs, and it shows up a little more if you've got the stiffer Si dampers. For a car you want to look good and handle, that's an easy trade. If your top priority is a plush ride over beat-up roads, go in knowing it firms things up. And if you're after a bigger, more aggressive drop, that's a different spring (Eibach's Sportline) rather than this one.
What To Know About Install
A few real things to plan for. This is a job that wants a proper spring compressor and the right tools, so unless you're set up for it, plan on a shop doing the install, figure a couple hours. And here's the one a lot of people forget: lowering the car changes your alignment, especially your rear camber, so plan on an alignment afterward, and on the Si especially you'll want a rear camber kit (Eibach makes one) to dial the camber back in and keep your rear tires from wearing on the inside edge. Budget for the alignment up front so it's not a surprise. One more heads-up: once these are installed and used, they can't be returned, so nail down your trim and setup before you order.

A set of four progressive-rate springs that lower the car 1.2" (30mm) front and 1.0" (25mm) rear on factory dampers to reduce body roll, squat, and brake dive while closing the fender gap. Cold-formed from Hi-Ten steel and shot-peened to resist sag, and backed by Eibach's million-mile warranty (manufacturing defects only). Ride is firmer than stock, more so with stiffer Si dampers. Drop figures are measured on factory dampers; aftermarket shocks may change the result. Professional installation with a spring compressor is recommended, and an alignment is required afterward, a rear camber kit is advised (especially on the Si) to correct camber after lowering. Once installed and used, the springs cannot be returned, so confirm your trim and setup before ordering. One spring kit per order.
