PRODUCT DETAILS
Honda OEM Orange Fire Pearl Touch-Up Paint - YR612P (0.25 fl oz)
Your 2014-2015 Civic Si came in Orange Fire Pearl and that color turns heads. What doesn't turn heads are rock chips staring at you from the bumper or hood. Honda OEM touch-up paint, color code YR612P. Orange Fire Pearl was the second orange option Honda offered on the 9th gen Si, following Sunburst Orange Pearl which was only available in 2012-2013. This is the factory-spec Orange Fire Pearl that Honda sprayed on your car from the factory. Same color. Same pearl. It closely resembles the Orange Fury available on the GK5 Fit but it's not the same. The kit has everything you need to fix rock chips the right way. An abrasive prep tip to clean the damage. A color applicator pen for the paint. A clear coat applicator to seal and protect it. No mixing required. No additives. Just clean the chip, apply thin coats, clear it, and move on. Takes fifteen minutes.
Orange Fire Pearl Demands Factory-Matched Paint
Orange Fire Pearl is tricky because it's not a solid orange. The pearl effect changes the way the color appears depending on angle and lighting. Sunlight hits it one way and it's bright and vibrant. Shade hits it another way and it's deeper and more sophisticated. Cheap touch-up orange won't have that pearl. It'll be flat. It'll be one-dimensional. Your repair is going to look amateur because the color won't shift the way the rest of the panel does. The OEM Honda paint has the exact same pearl effect engineered into it. The color won't just match head-on. It'll match in all lighting conditions because the pearl behaves the same way as your factory paint.
Everything Comes Pre-Mixed In One Bottle
Open the bottle and you're ready to work. The prep tip scrubs away loose paint and corrosion inside the chip. You're cleaning down to solid surface so the new paint has something to grip onto. Then you use the color applicator pen to start laying down paint. Don't dump it all in one shot. That's how you end up with a blob of paint that sticks out. Instead you're building it up with multiple light coats. Apply some paint, wait a minute, apply more. Keep going until the paint surface is flush with the surrounding clear coat. Once you've got the color right hit it with the clear coat applicator. The clear seals the color underneath and adds gloss so the repair doesn't look matte next to the shiny panel. No mixing. No waiting. No hardeners to activate.
Quarter Ounce Handles More Than You'd Think
You're getting 0.25 fluid ounces which is enough to handle several rock chips or minor scratches across your Si. You're using small amounts of paint per repair because you're building thin layers. One bottle lasts a long time if you're just doing occasional touch-ups. When you're finished cap it tight and keep it in the garage. The next chip you get you've got the paint ready. No need to reorder. No waiting for paint to arrive. Just grab the bottle and fix it. Most people don't go through a whole bottle for years unless they're tracking the car or doing a lot of highway miles where chips are constant.

Note: Touch-up paint specifically for Honda color code YR612P Orange Fire Pearl. Exclusive to 2014-2015 Civic Si (9th generation). Not the same as Orange Fury available on GK5 Fit. Verify your paint code before ordering. Work in a clean area away from direct sunlight. Wash the chip area thoroughly and let it dry. Use the prep tip to clean inside the chip and remove loose paint or rust. Wipe away debris. Shake bottle well before opening. Apply thin color coats with the applicator pen - build up multiple light layers until flush with surrounding surface, not one heavy coat. Wait one to two minutes between applications. Once color is level with the panel, apply clear coat over top. Clear coat protects the color and adds gloss to match factory finish. Allow 24 hours cure time before washing or waxing. The repair will be unnoticeable from normal viewing distance. 0.25 fl oz covers multiple small chips or several minor scratches. Store bottle capped tightly between uses.
