SpeedFactory Vitara H-Beam Connecting Rods for D16 Engines
These SpeedFactory D16 H-beam rods are built specifically for all Honda D16 engines and ZC variants. They’re aimed right at Vitara piston turbo D16 builds in the 300–500hp street range, where you want something strong, simple, and repeatable. Unlike generic off-the-shelf rods, these long connecting rods for D16 engines put Vitara pistons at the correct deck height, which bumps compression, improves efficiency, and sharpens throttle response—without any block or girdle notching.
These D16 forged connecting rods use a 2-piece forged 4340 chromoly construction, then go through heat treatment, magnaflux inspection, CNC machining, and shot-peening. That combo gives you tough, lightweight D16 connecting rods that handle abuse. The big ends use precision alignment dowels to hold bore size and prevent cap walk, while the small ends use bronze alloy pin bushings for true floating wrist pin rods. Each SpeedFactory connecting rod for D16 comes with 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts rated to 220,000 psi, and every set is balanced to +/- 1 gram. The rods are profiled to clear the factory girdle, so they drop into your turbo D16 without grinding.
