Innovative Mounts Front Torque Mount 92-01 Prelude
Start here before anything else: this mount requires the Innovative Mounts 92-01 Prelude Competition/Traction Bar Kit, part number 50110. It is not a drop-in replacement for a worn factory front torque mount, and it will not bolt to a Prelude still running its stock front crossmember. The 50110 kit replaces that crossmember and carries the front torque mounting bracket this mount attaches to. If you're not running the traction bar kit or buying it at the same time, this is the wrong part.
What It Is and Why It Works
If you are running the 50110 setup, this is the front torque mount that completes it. The traction bar kit ties the front lower control arms into the chassis to kill wheel hop, and a soft factory-style torque mount undercuts that work by letting the engine rock under load anyway. This mount is black powder coated steel with a tapered polyurethane bushing, and it holds the H22 or F-series where you put it so power goes into forward motion instead of into engine movement.
The tapered bushing design matters on a part like this. Innovative shapes the bushing to minimize direct contact and binding, which is what keeps a solid-feeling mount from turning into a driveline that fights itself over bumps. It uses factory hardware and positions the engine without introducing axle bind.
Choosing Your Durometer
All three options here are stiff. Innovative's softer street durometers aren't offered for this application, which tells you what this mount is for: hard-driven Preludes running a traction bar, not daily drivers.
| Durometer | Positioning | SKU |
| 75A | Race, the mildest option here and the one most street-driven cars should run | INO-29740-75A |
| 85A | Track | INO-29740-85A |
| 95A | Extreme track, stiffest available | INO-29740-95A |
Be realistic about the trade-off. Polyurethane increases noise, vibration, and harshness compared to the rubber and fluid-filled mounts Honda used, and stepping up in durometer increases it further. Nothing about a stiffer mount makes the car ride better. What it does is stop engine movement, and on a car built to put power down, that's worth the vibration you'll feel at idle and through the shifter. Pick 95A because your car is a track car, not because stiffer sounds better.

Fitment
| Years | Vehicle | Chassis | Engine |
| 1992-2001 | Honda Prelude | BA, BB | H22, H23, F22 |
Fitment is driven by the traction bar kit, not just the engine. Confirm the 50110 kit covers your exact Prelude trim before ordering either part, and if you're on an Accord or Odyssey with an F or H series, contact us first so we can work out whether this mount has any application on your chassis.
What to Know Before You Buy
Buy this and the 50110 kit together or don't buy it yet. That's the whole story on this part. The traction bar kit is the bigger purchase and the bigger change to the car, and this mount is the finishing piece.
Take the install seriously. Innovative recommends a mechanic or shop do the work, and mounts can't be returned once they've been bolted down and carry bolt impressions. That makes a wrong-part order expensive, which is exactly why the requirement above is the first thing on this page instead of a footnote.
If what you actually need is a fresh front torque mount for a Prelude that's staying on its stock crossmember, this isn't it, and we'd rather tell you that here than process a return. Reach out and we'll point you at a replacement mount that bolts to your car as it sits.
