PRODUCT DETAILS

Honda Front Crankshaft Oil Seal part number OHA-91212-59B-003 is the OEM style radial lip seal that lives at the front of the engine. It seals the crankshaft where it exits the front cover to drive the crank pulley. Simple job, keep oil inside the timing cover and oil pump area while the crank spins all day.

This seal is a wear item. Heat cycles, oil exposure, and a crank snout that is not perfectly smooth all stack the deck against it over time. What you usually see first is that annoying oily mist or grime around the crank pulley and lower front cover. If you are doing a Honda Accord oil seal replacement, chasing a front leak, or you already have the pulley off for timing or front cover work, this is the smart time to handle the Honda Accord crankshaft seal and move on.

Size matters here because you do not want surprises during install. This seal measures 43 mm ID, 58 mm OD, and 7 mm thick. It presses into the factory bore and rides on the factory crank sealing surface, no geometry changes, no weird adapters.

  • Manufacturer part number 91212 59B 003
  • Component type Front crankshaft oil seal, front main seal
  • Seal size 43 x 58 x 7 millimeters
  • Common alternate description Crankshaft seal, front crank seal, front cover seal, Acura TLX front oil seal, CR-V front main oil seal

Compatibility notes

  • OEM parts listings commonly show this as an Acura ILX crankshaft seal for 2016 through 2022 Acura ILX 2.4 liter and also list it for the 2016 model year Honda Civic where it applies as the Honda Civic main oil seal.
  • Also cataloged by OEM listings for 2023 through 2026 Acura Integra including Acura Integra main oil seal and Acura Integra Type S oil seal applications, plus 2019 through 2025 Acura RDX as the Acura RDX crankshaft seal, and 2015 through 2025 Acura TLX.

Selection and installation considerations

  • Pick this when you want factory spec sizing and a direct fit. If your goal is stopping a leak without changing anything else, this is the right kind of boring.
  • Plan on crank pulley removal and clean access to the seal bore. Install it square, drive it to the correct depth, and do not nick the sealing lip. That last one is how people end up doing the job twice.
  • This is strictly oil containment. It will not change alignment, compliance, or anything chassis related. It just keeps your engine from marking its territory.
  • Common cross searches include Honda CR-V oil seal replacement, Honda HR-V main oil seal, Honda Civic Si oil seal, Honda Civic Type R oil seal, Honda K20C front oil seal, and Honda L15B7 front oil seal, depending on the exact engine and catalog listing.

We use these exact OEM style seals on our own cars when we are in the front cover area anyway, because an oil leak you can prevent while the pulley is already off is the cheapest kind to fix.
