Why FlashPro should be your first modification
The FL5 FlashPro comes preloaded with a base map that will add 45 hp and 50 lb-ft torque at the click of a button. The factory ECU has to be jailbroken for FlashPro to work with the FL5. This is a separate product from Hondata.
FlashPro is by far the most critical modification you will make. Many aftermarket parts claim to add horsepower and torque to your car immediately, but the only way to get everything out of the parts you buy is to get the car tuned. If you plan on getting other performance mods like a cold air intake or exhaust, you will want FlashPro to get the maximum performance from your new parts.
Hondata is a state-of-the-art tuning device that enables individuals to optimize their vehicle's performance through advanced computer programming. Connecting the FlashPro to your laptop's USB and the vehicle's diagnostic port gives you access to live tuning, various calibrations, and extensive real-time and stored data logging capabilities.
While it is technically possible for an individual to utilize this device, we recommend consulting with a professional tuner to ensure proper and safe implementation. Attempting to use the device without adequate knowledge and expertise can negatively affect the vehicle and its performance.
The factory ECU has to be jailbroken for FlashPro to work with the FL5.

No instant jailbreak is available for the FL5 CTR. The ECU must be sent to Hondata to be jailbroken. The FlashPro will not work until the ECU is jailbroken. Download this form, and send it with your ECU to Hondata for jailbreak.

There is no warranty stated or implied due to the unusual stress placed on competition product(s) and/or the inability to monitor their modification, installation, and use, unless otherwise stated. In such case, Hondata warrants all products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for normal use and service for a period of (30) days from date of retail purchase.
As of September 01, 2018, the warranty on these specific Hondata products is extended to one year from the date of retail purchase: s100, s300, KPro, FlashPro, Coil Pack Retrofit (CPR), excluding: Harnesses
(For any issues with 4 or 7 bar map sensors, the end user must contact us directly for further instructions.)

Parts returned must be determined by Hondata to be defective before any warranty credit or replacement is issued. Hondata’s obligation under warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing, at its option, any part proven defective. The customer must prepay transportation charges. Final determination of the suitability of the products for the use contemplated by the buyer is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Products purchased from unauthorized dealers, or with the serial number missing, removed, or altered, are not eligible for warranty service. Proof of purchase, in the form of an invoice or sales order, may be requested.
Hondata shall not be liable for any special, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, that might be claimed because of the failure of any part, including claims for delay, loss of profits, or labor. Hondata shall not be liable for any damage or injury to persons or property resulting from improper installation or misuse of any part subject to this warranty. There are no other warranties expressed or implied extending beyond those set forth above.
All software must be used in accordance with the respective software license(s).
