Cusco Type OS Front Strut Bar - 2004-2008 Acura TSX / Honda Accord Euro R
Want to tighten up your TSX or Accord Euro R's chassis? The Cusco Type OS front strut bar ties your strut towers together to reduce chassis flex. When you're cornering hard, your strut towers flex and move independently. That flex makes your steering feel vague and your turn-in lazy. The strut bar connects both strut towers so they move together as a unit. That reduces flex and makes your steering feel more direct. You'll notice it most when you're changing direction quickly or cornering hard on bumpy roads.
Why Strut Bars Help
Your TSX or Accord Euro R's got two strut towers up front, one for each front suspension. When you're cornering, the outside strut tower's under load and the chassis flexes at the strut tower mount. That flex lets the suspension geometry shift slightly, which makes your steering feel less precise. A strut bar ties both strut towers together so they can't flex independently. When one strut tower's under load, the other one resists the flex through the strut bar. That keeps your suspension geometry more consistent and makes your steering feel tighter.
Polished Aluminum with Blue Mounting Plates
The Cusco strut bar's made from polished aluminum with Cusco's signature blue anodized mounting plates. The bar's an oval tubular design that's rigid enough to resist bending under load. Cusco uses either a pressed ribbed design (Type 1) or a sectioned design (Type 2) depending on the application. The polished aluminum looks clean in your engine bay and it's way lighter than a steel strut bar.
Bolts On in Minutes
The strut bar bolts to your strut tower tops using the factory mounting points. You're not drilling holes or modifying anything. Just unbolt the factory strut tower nuts, slide the strut bar mounting plates on, and bolt everything back down. Takes about 10 minutes with basic hand tools. All the hardware's included.
