This is the 1MS sprung MIBA ceramic kit, and it clamps down with about 170% more holding capacity than your factory clutch, so it hangs onto a built bolt-on car or a mild power adder without slipping. Here's what makes it the sweet spot for a lot of Si owners: it's built for heavy-duty street use with the occasional drag pass or road course thrown in, so it'll still daily drive while holding up to the abuse when you go have fun. What's Doing The Work

The heavy-duty single diaphragm pressure plate and reinforced drive straps are what put the extra clamping force down and keep it there, and the sprung MIBA ceramic disc is what gives you that quicker, firmer engagement. Real Talk On Living With A Ceramic Clutch

Let's set expectations the honest way, because a ceramic disc behaves differently than the stock clutch you're used to. It engages quicker and firmer, and right after install it's going to chatter some, that's normal for a sprung ceramic, and it settles down a lot once you've properly broken it in. The other thing to understand: ceramic is about holding capacity and durability, not about lasting longer than a stock clutch. If you ride it and slip it constantly in stop-and-go traffic, you'll wear it out faster, because the harsher engagement and all that slipping is hard on the material. Drive it with a little intention, get on and off the clutch cleanly, and it'll reward you. With Or Without The Lightweight Flywheel

You've got a choice here. Run the kit with your existing flywheel (get it resurfaced so the new disc has a clean surface to bite), or add Action Clutch's lightweight flywheel and wake the car up even more. A lighter flywheel lets the engine rev quicker and makes the car feel more eager and responsive, which is a blast on a sporty K24 car like this. The trade-off is it'll add a touch more chatter at idle and take a slightly more deliberate foot to launch smoothly. Break-In Is Mandatory, Don't Skip It

This part matters for your warranty and for how the clutch holds up, so do it right. Your break-in is 500 street miles, and during those miles you keep the RPM under 4,500, stay at half throttle or less, and run no boost if your car's boosted. Ceramic based clutch discs intend to increase the holding capacity and durability of the clutch as opposed to an increased life expectancy. Using a ceramic based material for easy street driving may contribute to premature wear of the clutch kit due to the harsher engagement and because of the higher tendency to slip the clutch during street driving.
