PRODUCT DETAILS

Brembo Rear Premium OE Coated Brake Rotor - 2008-2012 Honda Accord / 2009-2014 Acura TSX

Getting pedal pulsing when you brake on your Accord or TSX? Your rear rotors are probably warped. This Brembo rear rotor's a direct OE-equivalent replacement. It's made from grey cast iron with a protective coating on the hat and edges to resist rust. Brembo supplies OEM brake rotors to Honda and Acura, so this rotor's built to the same specs as what came on your car from the factory. If your rear rotors are warped, pulsing, or rusted, replacing them with fresh Brembo rotors brings your braking back to where it should be.

Why Replace Your Rear Rotors

Your rear rotors don't do as much braking as the fronts, but they matter for brake balance and stability. When your rear rotors are warped or worn past minimum thickness, you get pedal pulsing and uneven braking. That's especially noticeable during hard stops or when you're braking while turning. Fresh rotors give your rear brake pads a flat, consistent surface to work against, so your braking feels smooth and predictable again.

OE-Equivalent Fitment

This Brembo rotor's got the correct dimensions for your Accord or TSX, which means it maintains proper rear brake bias and ABS calibration. You're not getting an undersized or oversized rotor that changes how the car stops. It's a direct replacement that fits like the factory rotor and works like the factory rotor.

Protective Coating Resists Rust

The rotor's got a protective coating on the hat and edges to resist rust. The friction surfaces aren't coated because brake pads need to bed into bare cast iron, but the non-friction surfaces are coated to prevent rust from forming. If you live somewhere with winter salt or high humidity, the coating keeps your rotors from looking destroyed after one season.

Solid Rotor Design

This is a solid rear rotor, not a vented rotor. Rear rotors on most street cars are solid because the rear brakes don't generate as much heat as the fronts. Solid rotors are lighter and quieter than vented rotors, and they work fine for street driving and occasional hard braking.

Note: Rotors are sold individually. Order two for both rear rotors. Replace rotors in pairs. If you only replace one rear rotor, you'll have mismatched braking side to side. Measure your old rotors with a micrometer to make sure they're actually worn past minimum thickness before replacing them. If your rotors are just rusty but still above minimum thickness, you might just need new pads. Bed in your new pads properly after installing new rotors. Don't slam on the brakes for the first few stops or you'll glaze the pads.
