NGK 7772 Laser Platinum Spark Plug (PFR7G-11S)
This is the NGK 7772 Laser Platinum spark plug, the PFR7G-11S that belongs in a K20Z3 Civic Si, an F20C or F22C S2000, and a K20A2 or K20Z1 RSX Type-S. You need it when the old plugs are worn, when you pulled one and read PFR7G-11S on the ceramic, or when you are already in the coils and want the Laser Platinum these Honda motors actually run.

What It Is and Why It Works
NGK builds Laser Platinum as a long-life OE-style plug, not a race plug. Dual platinum, laser welded, is the trade. You get a slower wear rate. NGK says the Laser Series is typically built for 80,000 to 100,000 miles. You give up the finer iridium center NGK uses on its Laser Iridium line. Honda boxes this same PFR7G-11S as 98079-571BH on the 2000-2009 S2000.
Heat range is 7. NGK lists the pre-gap as 0.043 in (1.1 mm) as shipped. One plug in the box. A four-cylinder takes four. We like this one for an Si, S2000, or RSX Type-S that still runs the factory heat range.

K20Z3, K20A2, K20Z1, F20C, and F22C only. It does not fit a 2006-2011 Civic 1.8. It does not fit an RSX Base. It does not fit a 2002-2005 Civic Si. If you are not sure what is in the bay, read the valve cover. Heat range 7 and PFR7G-11S on the porcelain is 7772.
What to Know Before You Buy
Work on a cold engine. Pull one coil at a time. Start the new plug by hand. NGK specs 18 to 21.6 lb-ft on aluminum. Do not gap it. The 1.1 mm tip is set. Bending that platinum ground is how you ruin a new plug before it fires.
Order four for one engine. This SKU is the single. Look at the boots while the coils are out. A torn boot will misfire after you install fresh plugs.
The 1.8 Civic and the Si share a year span. If the car is an Si, an S2000, or an RSX Type-S, 7772 is the NGK Laser Platinum that belongs in it. If it is a DX, EX, or LX 1.8, or an RSX Base, this is not your plug.

One upper hose. Pull the old hose and match both necks: 1.25 in ID, about 21 in of molded length, extra arch for intake room. Shops use 21229 that way on a DC5 or EP3. This does not fit a stock D17 or IMA 7th-gen Civic, an 8th-gen Civic, or a DC2 Integra. A 2001-2005 Civic only makes sense if you are running a K-series swap, not a stock D17. Do not order this for a stock non-Si Civic.
