2006-2011 Civic Si Air Filter
This ENGINE air filter fits the factory air box on the 2006-2011 Honda Civic Si with the 2.0-liter K20Z3 engine. The Civic Si air filter measures 11 inches long, 6.25 inches wide, and 0.875 inch high. The wrong SKU is easy to order because the same Civic generation also used different filters for the 1.8-liter engine and the Hybrid.
K&N 33-2343 is a washable, reusable panel filter for the original Si air box.
What It Is and Why It Works
A disposable paper element is the lower-maintenance choice and avoids re-oiling errors near the mass airflow sensor. This reusable oiled-cotton filter trades that simplicity for washability. Too much oil can migrate from the media, so the specified oil amount and drying procedure matter.
K&N builds this panel with layered cotton gauze, wire support, and a molded sealing frame. It arrives pre-oiled and drops into the stock air-cleaner housing without changing the intake tube.
This is not the filter for a 1.8-liter Civic, a Civic Hybrid, or the cabin ventilation system. Those applications use different shapes and part numbers.

Factory engine airbox, Si 2.0 only, and it is not a cabin filter. Measure the filter already in the air box when the trim or engine is uncertain. This filter is about 11 by 6.25 inches. The 1.8 filter is about 8.813 by 7.688 inches, and the Hybrid filter is about 7.375 by 7 inches. A 2006-2011 Civic 1.8 takes K&N 33-2342. A 2006-2011 Civic Hybrid takes K&N 33-2348. A 2012-2015 Civic Si takes K&N 33-2473.
What to Know Before You Buy
Check the air box before installation. Remove loose dirt, compare the old filter perimeter with the 11 by 6.25 inch frame, and make sure the molded edge sits flat before closing the lid. A pinched seal can let unfiltered air bypass the media.
Service the media carefully. Use the K&N procedure for oiled cotton filters: clean it, let it dry fully, and apply 0.91 oz (27 ml) of filter oil evenly. Do not reinstall it wet or over-oiled.
Keep the application narrow. Match the engine and filter dimensions rather than ordering from a generic Civic listing. If the valve cover says 1.8, or the car is a Hybrid, this is the wrong SKU.

Factory engine airbox, 1.7 only, and it is not a cabin filter. The ES sedan and EM2 coupe share this panel across the whole D17 range, VTEC or not. K&N also lists 33-2192 on their 2002-2005 Civic Si 1.7 pages, which is the Canadian Si sedan and not the US car. The US Civic Si 2.0 (EP3, K20A3) takes K&N E-2429, a round filter 6.75 inches tall, and it will not physically sit in this airbox. This panel does not fit a Civic Hybrid and it does not fit a 1999-2000 Civic Si (EM1, B16A2), which is a different generation and a different filter. If you are not sure what you are holding, measure it: 12.5 by 7.75 inches and flat is this one. Anything round and five inches across is the Si 2.0.
