Hasport B-Series Swap Mount Kit for 88-91 Civic/CRX (EF)
Dropping a B16, B18, or B20 into an 88-91 Civic or CRX is the classic Honda swap, and the mounts are what separate a clean weekend install from a fabrication project. The Hasport B-series swap mount kit for the EF chassis, part numbers EFB1 and EFB2, bolts the B-series engine and transmission into a car that came with a D-series, with the geometry already solved.
What It Is and Why It Works
The kit includes three mounts: the driver-side mount, the transmission mount, and the rear mount, plus the mounting hardware for all three. Hasport designs the placement with CAD/CAM software so the engine sits where the axles and shift linkage want it, which is exactly the thing you cannot eyeball with a cutoff wheel and washers. First-generation B16A, B17A, and B18A engines bolt straight in. Running a B18C, B18B, or B20B/Z? You will need the 90-93 Integra left-hand engine bracket, Acura part 11910-PR3-010, and if your engine came without a rear engine bracket, Acura part 50827-SK7-020 completes it. Choose EFB1 if you are running a cable-shift B-series transmission (the 89-93 cable boxes), or EFB2 for a hydraulic transmission.

This is the swap kit for D-series cars receiving a B-series. If your car is a factory B16A chassis, an EF8 or EF9 SiR, you want the Hasport EF8STK replacement kit instead; it uses the factory B16A mounting arrangement and this kit does not apply.
What to Know Before You Buy
Bolt-in is real here, with two honest caveats from Hasport's own instructions. The rear crossmember needs a section bent down for rear bracket clearance, and the area below the driver-side shock tower needs a 3/8 to 1/2 inch dent for alternator clearance. Ten minutes with a hammer, not a welder, but know it is coming. Re-torque all mount bolts after the first 50 miles; every fresh swap settles.
Choosing EFB2 for a hydraulic transmission? The EF clutch pedal is cable operated, so a hydraulic box also means a clutch actuation conversion, and that is not included in this kit. Budget for it up front. Either way, plan the rest of the swap list before the engine goes in: axles matched to your intermediate shaft, shift linkage, and VTEC wiring. Hasport makes the EFBLINK shift linkage, swap axles, and an EF air conditioning bracket for exactly these builds, and stiffer bushings mean more cabin vibration, so pick 62A for a daily and save 88A and 94A for cars that live at the track.

Building a 93-97 Del Sol? It shares the EG platform and Hasport's full EGBAWD AWD kit lists it, but Hasport's page for this individual mount names only the Civic and Integra. Reach out before ordering and we will confirm your combination.
