If you're running a B-series Integra for drag, drift, road racing, or a high-horsepower street/strip build, the Action Clutch Stage 4 (1MD) Metallic Rigid Kit (ACR-0477) is built for exactly that. This is not a daily driver clutch - Stage 4 means aggressive engagement, a firm pedal, and clutch chatter during low-speed operation. That's the trade-off for serious holding power, and if you're at this stage, you already know what that means.
At the core of this kit is a heavy-duty single diaphragm pressure plate with reinforced drive straps, designed to clamp harder and hold more power than the stock unit. Paired with it is an Unsprung MIBA Ceramic disc available in 4-puck or 6-puck configuration. The unsprung (rigid) design eliminates the torsional dampening springs found on street clutches, which is what delivers that snappy, direct power transfer you need under hard acceleration. Expect some chatter at low RPM during the break-in period - this is normal and minimizes once the disc is properly seated.

Break-In Procedure (Required): 500 street miles minimum. During break-in: keep RPM under 4,500, use no more than half throttle, and do not apply boost if your vehicle is turbocharged or supercharged. Proper break-in is required to retain warranty coverage, ensure full holding capacity, and allow the ceramic disc to seat correctly against the flywheel and pressure plate surface.
Clutch Chatter: Some chatter at low RPM and during slow-speed engagement is expected with an unsprung (rigid) ceramic disc. This is a normal characteristic of the Stage 4 design and minimizes after the break-in period is complete. It is not a defect.
HP and Torque Capacity: Rated for race and high-horsepower B-series builds. Consult Action Clutch or your installer if your build exceeds 400whp to confirm disc puck count selection (4-puck vs. 6-puck) is appropriate for your application.
