ACL High-Performance Oil Pump - Honda/Acura D-Series Engines

Building your D series for turbo or high RPM? You need more oil pressure than the factory pump provides. The ACL high-performance oil pump moves up to 20% more oil volume than the factory pump and holds 70-75 PSI oil pressure at high RPM. The factory oil pump's fine for stock power and stock RPM, but if you're revving past 8,000 RPM or running boost, the factory pump struggles to maintain pressure. When oil pressure drops, your bearings starve and you're spinning a bearing or throwing a rod. The ACL pump fixes that.

Why You Need More Oil Pressure

Here's what happens when you build a D series for more power: you're revving it higher, you're running more load from boost or high compression, and your bearings need more oil flow to stay alive. The factory oil pump wasn't designed for 9,000 RPM or 20+ PSI of boost. It'll maintain decent pressure at idle and low RPM, but once you're at high RPM under load, the pressure drops. When that happens, your rod bearings and main bearings aren't getting enough oil. That's how you spin a bearing mid-pull and lunch the motor. The ACL pump moves more oil volume and maintains higher pressure at high RPM, so your bearings stay lubricated no matter how hard you're pushing the motor.

20% More Oil Volume

The ACL pump flows up to 20% more oil volume than the factory pump. That extra volume means the pump can maintain oil pressure even when your engine's demanding more oil at high RPM. The pump uses precision-machined steel rotors inside a tight housing, so you're not losing volume to slop or internal leakage like you get with worn factory pumps.

70-75 PSI Relief Spring

The ACL pump's got an uprated pressure relief spring that holds 70-75 PSI instead of the factory pump's lower pressure setting. That means you're maintaining higher oil pressure across the entire RPM range, which keeps your bearings happy at high RPM. The CNC-machined relief valve maintains stable pressure, so you're not getting pressure spikes or drops that mess with bearing clearances.

Bolt-On, No Modifications Required

The ACL pump's a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory oil pump. You reuse your factory oil pickup and oil pan. You're not clearancing the housing or modifying anything. Just unbolt the factory pump, bolt on the ACL pump, and you're done. The pump's been flow-bench tested at ACL's facility before it ships, so you're getting consistent performance out of the box.

What You Get

  • ACL high-performance oil pump
  • Precision-machined steel rotors
  • Heat-treated and nitrided for wear resistance
  • 70-75 PSI pressure relief spring
  • 20% more oil volume than factory
  • CNC-machined relief valve
  • Flow-bench tested before shipping
  • Direct bolt-on replacement

Compatible Engines

  • D15B1, D15B7
  • D16A6 D16Z6

Fits Your Car

  • 1988-1995 Honda Civic
  • 1988-1991 Honda CRX
  • 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol
  • 1986-1989 Acura Integra

Note: Reuse your factory oil pickup and oil pan. Install with a new oil pump gasket. Prime the pump with assembly lube before starting the engine. Don't dry-start the motor after installing a new oil pump or you'll score the pump rotors. This pump's designed for turbo, high-comp, or high-RPM builds. If you're running stock power, the factory pump's fine.
