The drain on a tucked radiator, the second end of a fuel rail, the spare port on a sandwich plate, the extra bung on a catch can. The SpeedFactory Racing ORB Port Plug Fittings are the black anodized aluminum plugs that seal those ports properly, sold each in -6, -10, and -12 so you can close off exactly what's open on your build.

What It Is and Why It Works

An ORB port seals with an O-ring on the face of the male fitting, compressed against the machined face of the port. It does not seal on the threads. That's why these plugs go in by hand, take a light wrench snug, and come back out clean a hundred times, and why an NPT plug forced into an ORB port will never stop weeping. The black anodizing is a hard finish that resists fuel, oil, and coolant and matches the rest of SpeedFactory's black fittings.

Where you'll use them on a Honda: the drain on a SpeedFactory tucked radiator is a -6 ORB, so if you don't run a drain line, the -6 plug closes it. SpeedFactory's B-series Mega Flow fuel rail has -10 ORB ports at each end, and a dead-head or single-feed setup plugs one. An LS/VTEC sandwich plate or oil filter adapter usually has a spare -6 ORB port. Any -10 or -12 ORB weld bung you added to a catch can or tank and then didn't use gets plugged, and the plug also protects the threads of a bung while it's being welded in.

Specs

Type

Male ORB (O-ring boss) port plug

Material

Aluminum, black anodized

Seal

O-ring on the plug face; no thread sealant or tape

Sizes

-6AN (9/16-18), -10AN (7/8-14), -12AN (1-1/16-12) ORB thread

Sold

Each

Available Options

Size

ORB Thread

SKU

Part Number

-6AN

9/16-18

SFR-11-006-P

SF-11-006-P

-10AN

7/8-14

SFR-11-010-P

SF-11-010-P

-12AN

1-1/16-12

SFR-11-012-P

SF-11-012-P

Fitment

Year

Make

Model

Trim

Engine

All

Universal

Any

Any

Any

Universal fitting. ORB and AN share the dash sizes but a -6 ORB is a 9/16-18 female port, a -10 is 7/8-14, and a -12 is 1-1/16-12; if the port is tapered it's NPT and needs an NPT plug, not this. Sold each, so count the open ports.

No tape, no sealant. A clean O-ring, a clean port face, and a snug wrench is the whole install; overtightening crushes the O-ring and strips aluminum threads. Replace the O-ring if it's nicked or if the plug has been in fuel for years and gone hard. If you're plugging a port on a fuel rail or radiator that will see pressure, check it after the first heat cycle. Aluminum grows, and a plug that was snug cold can be a hair loose hot.

Fitment

Year

Make

Model

Trim

Engine

All

Universal

Any

Any

Any

Universal fitting.
