It's the accordion-style rubber elbow that routes air from your airbox to your H22A or H23A. When it cracks, you're sucking unmetered air past your MAF and your ECU's got no idea what's going on. Your fuel trims go lean, your idle hunts or stalls, and you might get a check engine light.
