Eibach's Pro-Plus kit bundles the Pro-Kit springs with the 29mm front and 22mm rear anti-roll bars for the 2016-2021 Civic sedan, coupe, and hatch, so the moderate drop and the roll control go in together, get one alignment, and are tuned to each other rather than bought separately and hoped about.

What It Is and Why It Works

Two Eibach kits in one part number. The Pro-Kit springs (E10-40-036-01-22) are progressive rate and bring the car down about 0.7 inch in front and 1.0 inch in the rear on the factory dampers, which closes the wheel gap without pushing the stock shocks past what they can handle on a daily. The anti-roll kit adds a 29mm tubular front bar, non-adjustable, and a 22mm rear bar with two end link positions, which Eibach describes as solid on this kit. Springs lower the center of gravity and cut squat and dive; bars cut roll. On the 10th gen chassis the rear bar is the bigger change, because the factory rear bar is what leaves the car pushing wide on the way into a corner. Everything bolts to factory mounts, the bars reuse the factory end links, and no cutting is needed.

Specs

Part number

E43-40-036-01-22

Springs

Pro-Kit E10-40-036-01-22, progressive rate, set of 4

Drop

Approx 0.7 in front, 1.0 in rear (per Eibach)

Front bar

29mm tubular, non-adjustable

Rear bar

22mm, 2-way adjustable (solid per Eibach)

Dampers

Factory dampers, tested by Eibach

Alignment

Rear camber kit 5.67476K required (per Eibach)

Includes

4 springs, 2 bars, urethane bushings, brackets, hardware

Warranty

Five-year warranty per Eibach's current listing

Fitment

Year

Make

Model

Body

Trim

2016-2021

Honda

Civic

Sedan, Coupe, Hatchback

LX, LX-P, EX, EX-T, EX-L, Touring

2017-2021

Honda

Civic

Hatchback

Sport, Sport Touring

Eibach lists this kit for the base sedan and hatchback, and the Pro-Kit springs inside it cover the coupe and Sport hatch as well. Eibach lists it as required for the Pro-Kit springs on this car, and without it the rear alignment cannot get back into spec and the rear tires eat their inside edges. Start the rear bar on the softer hole; with the stock front bar replaced too, the stiff setting makes a stock-tire Civic rotate more than most drivers expect on a wet on-ramp. At this ride height the factory end links will preload the bars slightly; it's livable, but Eibach's adjustable end links are the clean fix if you want the two rear settings to mean something. If you want the bigger drop with the same bars, the Sport-Plus kit swaps in Sportline springs.

Fitment

Year

Make

Model

Body

Trim

2016-2021

Honda

Civic

Sedan, Coupe, Hatchback

LX, LX-P, EX, EX-T, EX-L, Touring

2017-2021

Honda

Civic

Hatchback

Sport, Sport Touring

Eibach lists this kit for the base sedan and hatchback, and the Pro-Kit springs inside it cover the coupe and Sport hatch as well.
