Shifter cable bushings are a cost-effective, simple way to add that notchy, crisp feel that you associate with a solid feeling shifter.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that all shifter cable bushings are created equal. Many companies make the mistake of assuming both bushings used in the k-series shifter cables can be replaced with solid metal or delrin bushing. This is not the case. Honda uses rubber bushings in their cables because it’s a cost-effective way to allow 2-degrees of freedom. A solid metal or delrin bushing allows only 1-degree of freedom. Generally speaking, eliminating a degree of freedom in the bushings translates into more effort required to shift and the potential to bend and ruin your shifter cables.

That’s why the Hybrid Racing incorporates a chrome-plated steel spherical bearing into their shifter bushings. This gives the crisp, notchy feel you expect from shifter bushings without the extra effort required to shift, like other brands of bushings.

Good ground connections are arguably the most important part of any electrical system. Without them, there’s no way for current to flow through an electrical system. Being certain that your electrical system is properly grounded is critical when it’s time to troubleshoot problems with any fuel injected car. Obviously, this is even more important in the case of an engine-swapped vehicle, where any number of electrical issues could arrise.

Hybrid Racing’s K Swap Ground Kit is a cost-effective way to be sure that you will not run into any problems that may be caused by improperly grounded components.

Despite being a fairly robust motor, k series engines have been found to have weak timing chain tensioners that fall victim to excessive wear when aftermarket cams are installed in the motor (and in some instances with stock cams). The fast ramp rate of aftermarket cams is the main cause of this. Unfortunately, without tearing the motor down after every use, it’s almost impossible to detect a worn tensioner before it’s too late. While installing a stiffer spring in an OEM tensioner, like other companies do, will slow down the wear of an OEM style tensioner, it will not eliminate it. The use of a stiffer spring will also cause the timing chain to stretch faster. For this reason, we designed our chain tensioner from scratch, ensuring it could take the abuse aftermarket cams cause without causing faster than normal stretching of the chain.

The Hybrid Racing Chain Tensioner is designed to be both stronger and more durable than the OEM Honda chain tensioner found on K Series motors. It is perfect for anyone who wants some added protection for their valuable motor.

The tensioner functions exactly like the OEM unit it replaces while improving upon the flaws of Honda’s design. The dual-ratchet design features hardened tool steel teeth that mesh with a heat treated chromoly piston. The teeth are crafted from the same material used for most the ratchets in high-end impact wrenches. The piston is designed to fit into the K series engine’s timing chain guide tighter than the OEM unit does; this helps to avoid misalignment of the ratcheting mechanism and the premature wear that often occurs when aftermarket cams are used in conjunction with the OEM K Series chain tensioner. In addition, the internal oil passageways have been optimized to respond to oil pressure increase faster than the OEM unit; this becomes critical in motors that rev quickly and to high rpms.

Each Hybrid Racing K Series Chain Tensioner is manufactured from scratch. It is not a rebuilt and rebranded OEM tensioner like those sold by other companies. The Hybrid Racing chain tensioner comes with reliability that has been proven through more than a year of the most abusive testing.

For years, installing a shifter into a K-swapped vehicle meant cutting a large section out of chassis’ center tunnel to mount an OEM RSX shifter to a stainless steel plate. This meant that the engine swap was basically irreversible. That’s why Hybrid Racing developed a bolt-in shifter specifically meant for K-swapped Honda and Acura chassis.

The Hybrid Racing bolt-in short shifter mounts to your chassis using only 4 M8 bolts. Two bolts utilize the stock bolt holes behind the stock shifter location and two holes must be drilled in the center tunnel. The two drilled holes are located under the dash board so that they are hidden once the shifter is installed.

The shifter has adjustable throw and can be set at 100% stock throw, 75% stock throw, and 50% stock throw (percentages are approximate, exact numbers depend on what height the shift knob has been adjusted to). In addition, the throw for the front/back and left/right motions can be independently adjusted so that you can fine tune the shift pattern to better suit your individual taste.

Unlike the stock RSX shifter and most RSX style short shifters on the market, the Hybrid Racing shifter features a stainless steel (not plastic) pivot ball. Also, all spherical joints are woven PTFE lined chrome-plated steel, opposed to the plastic joints in the RSX style shifter that wear out given enough hard shifts. What all of this translates into is a smoother, more solid feeling shift and an overall more durable product. The main pivot ball is clamped inside a set of spherical delrin cups that hold the shift stick firmly, but allow it to pivot freely.

These cables are designed to be upgraded replacements for the OEM cables. The solid rod ends and bushings give the Hybrid Racing cables a firmer, tighter feel over OEM RSX cables. In addition, the plastic swivel support tubes that are known to break on the OEM cables have been replaced with stainless steel swivel support tubes, which are significantly harder to break. These cables are meant to give peace of mind to people who don’t want to worry about their shifter cables breaking when they’re shifting hard and fast during demanding racing applications. These cables are 30% thicker than the OEM RSX cables.

Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM RSX style cables?
The Hybrid Racing Street Duty shifter cables are the same diameter as your OEM cables and will fit just like your OEM cables do. It should be noted that the OEM cable that is controlled by the right/left motion of the shifter has a plastic twist-lock bushing on the shifter end. Hybrid Racing cables use a spring clip and aluminum bushing instead. This aluminum bushing simplifies installation a bit, but more importantly, it gets rid of yet another plastic part that tends to flex on the OEM cables, leading to a sloppy feeling shift. The extra spring clip that you will need to install the Hybrid Racing cables is included with the cables, so you will not need to buy any other parts. An easy to follow installation sheet is included with each set of cables to make instillation as worry free as possible.

It should be noted that the Race Duty cables are thicker than OEM. In most cases, they will mount up with no problems or modifications. However, in certain cases, some holes that the cables go through will need to be widened. If you are using the Race Duty cables on an OEM-style shifter mounted to a Karcepts adapter plate in a K swapped chassis, you will need to widen the holes in the Karcepts adapter plate where the cables pass through the plate.

What is included with these shifter cables?
Aside from 2 shifter cables, each shifter cable set includes 4 cotter pins, 2 delrin washers, and 2 stainless steel washers for affixing your cables to your transmission and shifter. Each set also comes with an “m” bracket for affixing the shifter cables to the chassis in K swap applications. If you are mounting these into an RSX, this bracket will not be needed. Finally, each set of cables comes with an install tips sheet that shows how the cables should be mounted to the transmission and shifter.

What makes Hybrid Racing’s Harness the best on the market?

Hybrid Racing completed their first K-swap over five years ago and pioneered a lot of the products that you currently see on K swapped vehicles. One of those products is the conversion harness. This harness interfaces with the factory dash harness, your OEM K series engine harness and your K series ECU to greatly simplify the swap wiring.

What’s new about the Version 3 Hybrid Racing Harnress?

The new Hybrid Racing Conversion harness incorporates updated wiring, an updated install guide that includes more pictures and less text, and the integration of the oxygen sensor connector. All of these updates make the Hybrid Racing Harness super easy to install. No more fumbling with your stock O2 sensor connector and cutting and connecting etc.

What type of connectors and pins do you use?

When we construct a Hybrid Racing harness we utilize brand new connectors and pins sourced from the same company that Honda utilizes for their connectors.

These connectors are ordered in bulk from Japan and ensure that you are getting all new parts. In addition, all new connectors decrease the chance for errors in the harness as we do not solder any of the joints. The Hybrid Racing Conversion Harness allows for full functionality of the factory gauge cluster and comes with full replacement warranty.

Other companies will have you send in parts of your stock harness wasting time and money in shipping. The Hybrid Racing Conversion Harnesses are in stock and ready to ship.

So why do you need a fuel line kit?

The K series engine in the OEM chassis has a return less fuel system (it only has one line running to the rail). The new chassis that you plan on installing your K series engine in to (EG, EK, DC etc) utilizes a return system. So to get fuel to your K-series engine you are going to need to retro fit a return system to the engine. It sounds complicated but we have made a few different fuel line kits that are 100% bolt in.

What chassis is this kit for?

This kit fits all 92-2000 Civics/Delsols and all 94-2001 Acura Integras.

What does this kit come with?

This kit consist of 3 custom length lines with the appropriate fittings on the ends. You can get the lines in either stainless steel or black neoprene. The black kit is our most popular kit for its stealthy look but they both get the job done perfectly.

The kit also comes with 3 -6AN unions, an adapter to connect to your OEM fuel filter and an adapter to connect to your hard line.

Why shouldn’t I make these lines myself and what makes them better?

Since the hoses will be carrying fuel back and forth to your engine it is important to have the lines assembled and pressure tested by an Aeromotive authorized dealer who uses equipment selected and certified by Aeromotive to ensure the best quality assembly and performance. They also pressure test the lines to ensure there are no leaks which can lead to fires and/or engine failure. In addition, all of the lines come with a lifetime warranty. If you have a leak or problem send it back to us for a no hassle repair.

We stand behind each one of our products and are 100% positive that you will have no problems with our fuel line kits. Each Hybrid Racing product comes with a money back guarantee so if your not happy call us and we will make sure you are.

If you want something custom please feel free to drop us an email with what your looking to do and we will make it happen.

If you were wondering if there was any way to add more features to an after market fuel rail, the answer is a resounding “yes”. Our fuel rails are made from 6061 aluminum with T6 heat treatment. It can accept a -8AN fitting in the inlet(s) and outlet, and it features a durable anodized finish with a laser etched logo. Now for what makes our rail a little different…

We’ve included a 1/8″ npt hole on our new fuel rails that allows you to mount a fuel pressure gauge directly to your fuel rail. This puts the fuel pressure gauge in a spot that’s easily visible so you don’t have to poke around in the engine bay just to see if you have fuel pressure.

FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO ORDER THIS PART PLEASE CLICK HERE

The other detail on our fuel rail that should stand out is the option for plugging the side inlet and outlet and running the fuel to a centrally located -8AN fitting. This is positioned so that the fuel line can pass between the middle two cylinder intake runners which is an excellent option for anyone looking to tuck their wires and lines.

Shown here is the Hybrid Racing Fuel Rail with a pressure guage mounted to the 1/8 NPT hole. Fuel is being supplied to this rail via the central inlet, using Hybrid Racing Tucked Fuel Lines. The rail is mounted to a PRB intake manifold.

What is included with the fuel rail?
Each fuel rail comes with (1) 1/8 NPT fitting, (2) -8AN/-6AN union, (2) -8AN plugs, and and 4 o-rings. This assortment of fittings will allow you run the fuel rail in almost any configuration possible.

What intake manifolds is this rail compatible with?
This rail has been shown to mount to the PRB, RBC, and RBB intake manifolds without needing any modifications. Any aftermarket intake manifolds that share the same fuel rail mounting points as the PRB, RBC, or RBB should also accept this rail.
