			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We received a pretty awesome email this morning from the guys at BYP from land down under. They have been building this car for some time following a catastrophe last year when the original motor only lasted 2 laps before being over revved and blew up. Now, finally finished, they got it out at the track to see what this thing can do.</p>
<p>They have a K24 bottom end matted up with a K20A head and a Kraftwerks Supercharger kit. The car puts down 370HP to wheels, and considering it only weighs approximately 2200lbs with a driver, you can bet this thing screams. This car also has the HR shifter and race cables.</p>

<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve achieved a monumental goal this past Sunday at Round 8 of the State Supersprint Championship. We recorded a new PB with a new time of 1:38.0, beating our previous PB by 3.1 seconds. This resulted in 1st in Class 4D, 1st Outright (radical are not included in the outright position) and the QUICKEST Time Attack Honda around Eastern Creek. We went up against some of the quickest Time Attack cars, R35 GTRs, WRX&#8217;s, EVO&#8217;s, Clubmans etc, and top the time sheet by 1.4 second to our nearest competitor in second. We believe we can go even quicker! Our next goal is to hit the 1:36 barrier with the current set-up.&#8221; (BYP).</p>
<p>I will keep you guys updated with this car! Hopefully we will see it beat their current record.</p>

<p>Since the car was going straight to the body shop after  everything was taken off, the time available with the car was very  minimal. Parts were being ordered left and right and they were going on  as fast as they were coming in. This was a team effort with one goal in  mind: to make it to Import Alliance 2009. Needless to say, the car made  it!</p>
<p>Everyone at the meet stopped and looked, took pictures, and asked  questions about it. In fact, this is exactly how I met the HR team. I  was walking around the meet talking to people, riding my scooter with my  awesome hat, and I came across this car. I was pretty much in love with  it instantly and had to know more about it. So I started talking to  Dave about the car and what had been done to it. During our conversation  he noticed I had a decent camera with a wide angle lens and he asked me  to take a couple pictures of it. So, I took some pictures of the engine  bay and a few other shots and chilled at the booth for the rest of the  day. The next week I edited and sent the photos to HR. This opened the  door for me to start making their stickers (the free ones you get when  you buy something from HR) and talking to them about doing a Kswap. So,  we discussed it and I decided to sell all my B-series stuff to get a K20  going in my car. After a couple months and a handful of successful  sticker batches, I got a phone call from David asking me to take a trip  down to the shop because the owner (Will) wanted to interview me for an  open position. I made a trip down to the Bayou State and spent the day  here at the shop. I talked to Will and had an interview, and then we all  went out to chill and hang out. After a long month I moved here to work  for Hybrid full time!</p>
<p>So, the moral of the story is: I took a pictures that changed my  life! Ok, so now on to the Del Sol since I got side tracked… damn ADHD!</p>
<p>I love the attention to detail in every part of the Del Sol. From the  Dupont battleship gray outside, to the amazing artwork of the graffiti  engine bay, there was nothing left untouched on this car. It is still  hard to believe that this car was built in such a short amount of time.  IA was a huge success and opened doors for me as well as the shop. Even  though we did not have the Del Sol at IA this year, it will be back! We  are in the process of changing up a few things and if you keep checking  the site you will be the first to see the changes!</p>

<p>My name is Tim Schultz. Some of you may know me but if not here is your chance to meet me! (You can also follow me on Facebook <a title="HR FB" href="http://www.facebook.com/hybridracing" target="_blank">HERE</a>)  I started working at Hybrid Racing in March of this year, and wow has  it been awesome! I have been into Honda’s for about 7 years and I have  had pretty much every possible model of Honda from 1989 to 2000. I  currently have two 1997 Civic hatchbacks, one being my daily driver and  the other one is my baby that took me 2.5 years to complete. If you look  <a title="TIM BLOG" href="http://www.hybrid-racing.com/blog/feature-cars/eastcoast-style/" target="_blank">HERE</a> you can see my car in a million pieces,  but I am happy to say that with the help of the guys here at Hybrid  Racing the car debuted at Import Alliance 2010 and is finally complete,  for now (more blogging on it shortly) They always say a car is “never”  done, and I am probably the most indecisive person in the world so that  statement definitely describes me!</p>
<p>I will be posting every Tuesday the inside scoop and crazy  shenanigans that we have going on at Hybrid Racing. When I update this  every week, it will include everything from car events and builds to new  industry product releases and shaved monkeys. With everything and  everyone being super busy I am in charge of this now so if you want to  see more of something let me know! But, enough about me, let’s talk  about the newest build we have at Hybrid Racing!</p>
<p>We are currently building an EG hatchback for a customer that is  mainly for the track. The idea behind this car was a clean and simple  car (no jdm glory parts) that would be capable of a fun trip to  McDonalds or some laps at the local track. With some seat time under his  belt, I have no doubt he will have a blast in this car. From Zeal  suspension and Wilwood brakes to a fully built K20/24 Frank motor, this  car is going to be sick! On top of making it a race car we also took the  time to do a full restore on it. Almost every part will be replaced  with new Honda pieces and if they were not replaced, they were cleaned  and powder-coated. No cutting corners on this build.</p>
<p>So far, the plans are to add a roll cage, full restoration (color  change), Wilwood big brake kit, Enkei RPF1’s, Zeal coil overs, Hard Race  bushings, Race Pack data logger, full line of Hybrid Racing swap parts,  and much much more. I will add details and pics with each update!</p>
<p>These pictures are to show you how the car arrived from California. It is a 95 EH SI hatch original owner, bone stock!</p>

<p>The interior was mint. It just needed a little TLC, but it doesn&#8217;t matter because its coming out!</p>
